Wellcoaches Certification

Health Coaches partner with clients who are seeking self-directed, lasting change aligned with their values, which promotes health and wellness and thereby enhances well-being.

In the course of their work, health coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their capacity for change.  Coaches honour that each client is an expert on their own life, while ensuring that all interactions are respectful and non-judgmental.

Further Certification & Accreditation

Once you have earned the Wellcoaches Certification in Health and Wellness or Lifestyle Medicine you may be eligible to earn the designation of "National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach" through the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). NBHWC accredited coaches are leaders in the field of health coaching. Please see the NBHWC website for all requirements and timelines.

HCANZA Membership

Health coaches and anyone who has completed an approved training program have an opportunity to join an Australian and New Zealand membership association – HCANZA.

Wellcoaches Australia encourages all students and practitioners to consider membership, as a way of representing the important role that health coaching plays and to be connected to a network of peers.
